Francis grew up in a small-scale rural community in Kenya and understands the challenges of overcoming adversity in these communities.
He established Jamii Coffee to educate and create awareness by directly connecting Kenyan specialty coffee farmers with coffee roasters for mutual benefit after he noticed the disconnect that exists between the coffee market in the U.S. and the producer communities in Kenya.
